Really Reasonable Ribbon Design Team Call

Really Reasonable Ribbon is doing a full design team call and we are looking for a team of 8 highly creative people. We are looking for talented crafters and artists who love using ribbon, work well with deadlines and have great personalities. If you are a card maker, scrapbooker, hair bow maker, paper crafter, ribbon artist, altered artist or if you do anything fun and unique with ribbon please apply. Our readers are looking for variety, so don't be afraid to show your creative side. Unusual and creative projects are encouraged.

Requirements

- You must be a versatile crafter who loves to work with ribbon.

- You must have an active blog and the ability to take quality pictures and post interesting entries directly to the Really Reasonable Ribbon Blog. We require 5-6 projects per month as follows:

* We require 3 projects per month posted directly to our blog with one being a tutorial. You must also post projects using 'Really Reasonable' ribbon on your own blog and promote Really Reasonable Ribbon whenever possible.

* You will be required to link the RRR blog and business on your blog, and participate in and promote special events (usually blog hops) 1-2 times per month. Typically we have one blog hop per month but we may occasionally participate in a second activity in any given month.

* You will be required to create a sample project for one of our two monthly challenges.

- You will also be required to assist us in commenting on RRR challenge entries.

- We ask that you commit to a 6 month term from May 2012 through October 2012.

Rewards

- You will receive $25 in free product of your choice per month plus a free Monthly Ribbon Club assortment for use in your projects. You will also enjoy a 20% discount on any other purchases made with free shipping if additional purchases coincide with your regular monthly shipment.

- We will link your blog on the Really Reasonable Ribbon blog.

- You will receive a badge to display on your blog stating that you are a Really Reasonable Ribbon design team member.

- You will have access to our yahoo group where the design team can network and support each other on RRR projects and other design team work.

Mini treat buckets

When I was browsing the Dollar Store recently, I came across the cutest little mini white tin pails. They were in the wedding section and they were the cutest things! I don't know anyone getting married anytime soon, but these buckets were perfect for so many little projects that I have floating around in my head!For this set, I decided to make some mini Easter Treat Buckets.

Aren't they just adorable!

I will fill these with the pastel jelly beans or chocolate covered almonds.

A perfect gift for a teacher, a friend, or just about anyone!

They came all just plain white.

I gathered my double ruffle ribbons, my bakers twine and my white diamond satin ribbons along with a few assorted buttons and set to work to transform the plain white bucket into something beautiful.

I can't wait to fill these with candies and give them away!

I hope my son's teachers will like them!

You just can't go wrong with Seam Binding! Just spritz with a little water, scrunch it up and leave it in a big ball to dry. Then you have to most amazing crinkly, wrinkly shabby looking ribbon. I think it makes a great bow and it's so forgiving to work with too. Really Reasonable Ribbon has over 30 colors in stock.

This card is for my niece Dani's birthday. I hope she likes it. :)

Peace, Love and Happiness

I love ruffles. And lately I seem to be hooked on creating cards that have ruffled ribbon on them! It is a good thing that Bonnie has so many colors, styles and sizes of ruffled ribbons. Today's card could be used for a Christmas card, but it also could be a wedding card, or a graduation card.

The world image (retired Stampin' Up!) is watercolored with reinkers and an aqua brush. That adorable ruffled ribbon is Aqua Satin Double Ruffle Ribbon. It ties so easily into sweet bows. Be sure to order a Bow Easy tool if you are bow challenged!

Happy Birthday Card

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great week! Today I have a sweet birthday card to show you.

I cut the cupcake from the Rock Princess cartridge and the scalloped mat from Elegant edges. I added some bling for sprinkles and some sparkle to the cherry with course glitter. The aqua diamond satin is the perfect finishing touch. I love the aqua against the pretty K and Company paper.

Hello everyone! It's Emily here again with a fun little project to share with you today!

Have you seen those cute little bird houses at the craft stores lately for $1 and wanted to decorate them? I know I have picked up several and finally I got around to doing something fun with one of them using some Really Reasonable Ribbon!

How cute is that, right? I loved the little heart and the fence on this one.

I had an idea to alternate ruffle ribbon and paper on the roof to make it look like shingles, I think it worked out pretty nicely!

Z-Fold Chick Card & Video's on Bows

Hello everyone and Happy Monday to all!!! Cheryl here with a Z-Fold Card and 2 Bow Video's using Beautiful Satin Really Reasonable Ribbon!!

So, for my card today it was to be a Z-Fold card. I ended up gluing the outside edge a bit so it doesnt open like a z, bet that's ok. It still works and stands on its own :)

On my card I used Really Reasonable Ribbons, Silky Crush for the closer bow tie. Then for the little bow by the sentiment I used Seam Binding in Pink. Next for my ribbon on the tag I used Satin!

Single Faced Pink Satin

Sweet Duck is a Pixie Cottage Stamp. I also used Spellbinders frame, and then CottageCutz Spring Doily and Love Tags Dies from The Scrapping Cottage! The flowers I used are a mix of Wild Orchid, and some other flowers I had. I used the sweet sentiment from Pixie cottage stamps too. The branches are from Martha Stewart!

All Dressed Up!

Hello Really Reasonable Ribbon fans! Jan here to share a porcelain doll that's made using cardstock, fabric and lace. The delicate lace at the bottom of the skirt and on the straps at the top is Penelope Natural Crochet Lace. While shopping at thrift stores, I spotted two wedding dresses and they were $1.00 each! WOW! The lace that is layered on the skirt is from one of the dresses. The tiny buttons are part of my vintage button collection.The doll was also a thrift store find and she was $6.00. She was dressed in shades of lavender. I removed her clothing and carefully took the dress apart. Here she is with a new wardrobe.

Here's how I started.

Remove clothing.

Using a seam ripper, take the seams out.

Lay pattern pieces on satin fabric, pin and cut out.

I used Graphic 45, Once Upon A Springtime cardstock. I taped two pieces of cardstock together and prepared it by brushing a generous layer of Liquitex, Matte Medium. This will make the cardstock, fabric-like. I used the skirt pattern and cut the skirt on the prepared cardstock.

Sew lace to the bottom of the skirt.

Mist the back with water and do a fan fold to crease the skirt.

Sew peach tulle on the skirt, then the large piece of lace on the skirt. Assemble the dress and add buttons.

Storage Idea

I am so thrilled to be able to share my latest storage idea using Really Reasonable Ribbon products.

This is a very plain plastic type wood box I got from a friend that was tossing it out. Well you know I couldn't let that happen.

The front view decorated-I still think I will spray paint the basket insert white.This trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon Noelle White Crochet Lace is one of my favorite and worked so well for my box.

Simple Book Mark

Do you read?Better yet, do you have TIME to read?I used to .I used to read a LOT.However, 5 kids keep me so busy that books are the furthest thing from my mind.That is not the case with my kids, though.They all read. They love to read and they actually ask for books for birthday and Christmas gifts.Their favorite place to go is to the library. AS you can imagine,with 5 kids reading books, there comes a need for book marks.LOTS and LOTS of book marks.
I remember when I was in school, I would use just a piece of plain notebook paper to mark my spot in my book.These days, the kids want personalization.
When my 11 year old came home from school today and says,"Mom, I need a book mark"...she knew that I was going to tell her to pick her paper and ribbon and I will make one.Aubrie chose her papers and 3 ribbons...Diamond Satin yellow and purpleand Rainbow Peace.
She told me, NO flowers and NO Bling!LOL...she is NOT a girly girl like her Mama! So...given the materials and the "Guidelines"Here is what I put together for her:

This is the Front side and the photo below is the back side.

For this super simple book mark, You will use 2 sheets of heavy cardstock

cut 6x2.

You will then cut your ribbons to your desired length and you will

hot glue them in BETWEEN the 2 sheets of cardstock.

Be careful not to layer too much, because it does increase the thickness of the book mark.

You will then superglue the 2 sheets together and viola! Super Simple Bookmark!

All you have to do is embellish it!

Aubrie loved this book mark, and made a few more for her friends by herself.

This is a super easy craft project to make with kids...especially since spring break is coming soon and they will be home and BORED!

Oh...and don't foret about the long summer ahead!

Believe me when I say that my kids will be making MANY book marks this summer.

We may even donate some to our library

for the youth Summer Reading Program. :)

Colorful Baker's Twine Card Background

Today I have a quick card for you featuring Baker's Twine from Really Reasonable Ribbon. This is such a fun trim to use and it's so versatile. I was looking around my craft room at all the tools I have from 'back in the day', and there was my Fiskars crimper. It's been years since I used this tool.

So, what to do with it.....................

Eureka!! I can crimp a sheet of paper and use the valleys to hold some baker's twine wrapped around the cardstock. Now, I could have done this without crimping the paper, but it made it so easy to keep the baker's twine evenly spaced, plus, I used my crimper! How great is that??!

Aren’t these the cutest little pandas you have ever seen?! I adore their sweet eyes and the little hearts at the top. The sentiment (“Thinking of you is a nice thing to do!”) goes perfectly with their expressions of care and love.

I stamped my images (from Rubbernecker Stamps) on glossy white paper with Memento Tuxedo Black ink, and added some fun Bo Bunny Enchanted designer paper for the background. The ribbon trims are some of my favorites: Licorice Baker's Twine and Red Satin Double Ruffle Ribbon!

Hi everyone! I hope you guys all had a fabulous weekend. I have pretty card to show you today that I made using two different ribbons.

I created the base of my flower by cutting a 1-1/2" circle on my Cricut. I then made ribbon tabs from satin ribbon with scallop edges and hot glued them to the circle. I added two layers of paper flowers from Michael's and a brown felt brad. I created the stem by adhering a piece of moss green twill and then tying a second piece around the stem to create leaves.

This pretty paper is from My Mind's Eye.

Sweet Baby Boy Mini Album

Happy Monday everyone! It's Emily here today with another fun little mini album.

I made this paper bag mini album for my neighbor who wanted an album to store photos of her baby boy.

You can't tell from the photos, but I added some of the Middy Bitty bags in between every white bag for more photo space and also more pockets to tuck little things in. I think pockets are PERFECT for baby albums, I know I saved a lot of little things when my daughter was born that would fit perfectly right inside those little pockets.

Silky Crush Ribbon Butterfly & Video Tutorial

Hello everyone. Today I wanted to share a tutorial on how to make Ribbon Butterflies using Really Reasonable Ribbon's Silky Crush. These are super FUN to make and pretty easy too!!

These are the perfect size for cards, layouts, mini photo albums, and so on. For these butterflies I used Pink Silky Crush :) I also used some flowers on the one, and gems on the other. I used hot glue to put them together. My video below shows how easy :)

On my top butterfly I used a piece of feather for behind the pink gems.

Ok I have to LOL on the end of my video I couldnt remember what ribbon I had used.....hahahahaa Silly me!!!! :) Sorry!! of course i did end up remembering but omgosh i dont like when i have those kinda moments, the not remembering kind.....hehehehehe

Silky Crush is what i used, and Bonnie Carries different colors in this, also you could use the Wrinkled Ribbon

Sew Simple Fabric Pouch

Hello Really Reasonable Ribbon fans! Jan here today to share a simple little fabric pouch. I've used a white flour sack towel and Aqua Baker's Twine. Our local Dollar Store is always well stocked with towels and they work perfectly for small projects. Using scrap pieces of the towel, I diecut flowers and added a vintage earring to the center. To finish it up, I added a bit of fiber fill and some sweet treats. Using a large needle, I made a loose gathering stitch at the top and then tied it shut with a bow. I've used Aqua Baker's Twine. Before filling the bag, I stamped a vintage sewing machine and sentiment.

She has such a large variety of gorgeous ribbons - I'm like a kid in a candy store. Great prices, great ribbon - and really a girl can never have enough ribbon! I created a few cards for you today using some of the ribbons from the January and February Ribbon of the Month Club. I love the ribbon club! Each month you receive an assortment of beautiful and coordinated ribbons. There are so many designs, such rich colors and patterns, it makes my head spin with ideas. Thank you so much, Bonnie, for this opportunity and for your gorgeous ribbons.

Let me introduce myself, my name is Laura, editor-in-chief of Papers and Pixels on line Crafting Magazine. This edgy digi stamp, Kittie Katastrophe, is created by KennyK and colored using prismacolor pencils and gamsol. Paper is by Basic Grey. To add to the look and finish the card, I used several ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon. I wanted the look of lace and pearls along with the edgy look of black, red and grey. The lace and beautiful Red satin ribbon from the January Ribbon of the Month Club worked perfectly. Layered under the red satin and white lace is a wide piece of black grosgrain ribbon. With a few pearls for accents, she's ready to go!

With St. Patrick's day right around the corner and the beautiful ribbons in February's Ribbon of the Month Club, I created this card. Usually when I create a card, I start with a particular element I want to use. In this case, I wanted to use the fun and sassy polka dot ribbon. I embossed the background and used a polka dot designer paper to add to the look of fun and circles. The little snowman has a polka dot outfit that worked well with the paper and ribbon. The snowman digital element is by Trina Clark. Using colorful ribbons added to the whimsical look of this card and I just know it'll bring a smile to your face.

For an additional surprise, this card is created using a ribbon from this assortment of satin ribbons at Really Reasonable Ribbon. I wanted to create a very girly card for my friend for her birthday. Using this beautiful satin ribbon with grosgrain edging, a unique folded card and this lovely image, I know she is going to just love it. Do You Like Party Favors?

Who doesn't like party favors?

I decided to make one for a quick tutorial today here at Really Reasonable Ribbon

Let me share how these simple items we all have that can be made in to something pretty.

These are the few items I used

Yes, it really is a simple tissue paper roll and Pink and White Diagonal Stripe Grosgrain ribbon. I used Scor-Tape so I would have permanent adhesive.

I loved the way this striped pink and white ribbon looked wrapped around the roll. After winding I added more Scor-Tape to the ends.In the picture above you will see I also placed Scor-Tape in the inside.

I decided to use some candy heart wrapped in a sheet of tissue paper. Can you see where I wrapped string of pearls around the ends?

I pulled the strip in the inside and made sure the tissue paper was attached all the way around.
I ended up cutting down the sides after putting ties on the ends.

Finished decorating with a flower and brad and Baker's Twine Sweetheart with a little tag

Here is a close up of my finished project... the potential is unlimited with the ribbons available.I know I will be making more of these for other occasions.

There is probably one thing that I tend to enjoy

almost as much as spending time with my kids...

and that is scrapping those moments that we spend together.

When I scrapbook, I know that I am creating a layout that showcases

a particular event or moment in time that will live in my family's hearts forever.

It is very important to me that I capture the special moments to document,

and equally important to me that they be showcased using the right products.

One thing that I reach for time and time agin when I am scrapbooking is RIBBON.

I will find the right ribbon, trim, lace or twine to accent my project

before I ever even start.

It is the perfect accent to everything and is so easy to use!

When I saw this sketch by Melinda Spinks,

there was no exception to my rule.

I reached immediately for ribbon.

Isn't it amazing!!!!

Here is the layout that I created using some My Little shoebox goodies topped of with some RRR ribbons! Don't you just love those colors!!!!

Now...I have noticed myself using a lot of pastel-y kind of colors lately.

Crazy, I know...because I usually don't...but I am finding that I really like them!

The coral and the pale yellow paired with the powder blue really makes my heart sing a happy song!

And this photo make my heart dance!

I love what I captured on film in this shot.

More Ribbon Weaving Fun!

Hi everyone. Dawn shared a fun weaving project with us a couple of weeks ago HERE, and I thought I show a different twist for ribbon weaving. Today I'm using 1/4" grosgrain ribbon and weaving a swatch of 'fabric' and then cutting out a shape to use on my card. You could use any ribbon style or width that you want and you can find a HUGE selection of beautiful ribbons at Really Reasonable Ribbon.

Here's how I made my card:

1. I laid out my base ribbon strips (I used pieces about 10" long) and pinned them to a cardboard base that I laid graph paper over so I could keep things straight. You can push the strips right up tight next to each other, or with the case of grosgrain which is a bit thicker, you can leave a tiny space between each ribbon. I did not leave a space, but I wish that I had. :)

The base pieces are laid on top of a piece of Heat & Bond which you can see in the photo. This is so you can adhere the finished piece to the Heat & Bond when you are finished weaving. You can use any type of heat activated adhesive that you have in your stash or you can purchase inexpensive interfacing at a sewing store.

2. Start weaving your second color over and under the base strips. I secured each piece with a pin when I finished with it just to keep it where I wanted it. I did leave a tiny space between each of these rows which worked better. You can see the space in the sides, but there is no gap in the weaving.

3. This is what it looked like when all my pieces were woven in.

4. Now I took my iron and did a quick tack to the Heat & Bond. Since I was unable to find my 'no stick' pressing sheet, I trimmed off the excess Heat & Bond. If you don't do this, you will have a HUGE mess to clean on your iron. Make sure it's stuck enough to hold together and then remove the pins.

5. Flip it over and press again until the ribbon is fully adhered to the Heat and Bond. It's hard to get a good stick from the front side because the grosgrain is so thick. From the back it works fine.

6. I decided I wanted to make a heart with my woven fabric. I hand drew a heart on the back of the piece and then I cut it out by hand. I believe you would also be able to use a Sizzix or other deep cutting die to cut this out too if you have one on hand. I wasn't able to try because I don't have any. (On a side note - I have had Sizzix dies piled in my craft room for years and I never used them. I finally give them away and now I'm looking to use them! This is why I'm a craft hoarder!! As soon as I get rid of it, I need it. Does this happen to you too??)

7. I mounted the heart on a slightly larger red cardstock heart. Then I adhered a piece of pink jute string around the outside to cover the rough edges. I used my 1/8" Scor-Tape which is the perfect adhesive for this. You can adhere the thinnest trims with this tape with no adhesive showing through. I just take the tape and kind of twist it as I apply it, and it goes down in a really sticky thin strip. Just press the string in and it's there to stay.

8. Then I added my pretty woven ribbon heart to my card. The white piece across the middle of the card is 7/8" White Mid-Ruffle Satin. Isn't it pretty??

Babies and Lace

I collect giraffes and I am always looking for cute giraffe stamps. I found a darling one in a retired Cornish Heritage Farms set by Kim Hughes, and knew exactly which trim from Really Reasonable Ribbon I wanted to pair it with.

The Angela White Crochet Lace is a beautiful trim for the smaller image and sentiment that I was using. I love ALL of the lace that Bonnie carries in the RRR Store, which you can see here. I doodled around the edge of the card, and used a Rolodex punch for the punched edge.

Hi, everyone! My name is Melyssa Connolly from fantastink, and I'm really excited to be your Really Reasonable Ribbon Guest Designer for today! Ribbon is THE staple item in my card making bag of tricks so you can imagine how thrilled I was to be asked to quest design for Really Reasonable Ribbon.

This month's Ribbon Club collection is all about seeing green. To be honest green isn't on my list of favorite colours, and green ribbon is not something I have much of, (maybe a spool) but when I received this month's package I was absolutely thrilled. They looked so pretty together I just had to keep them that way. Here's my first card keeping the colours just as they arrived!!

Now my second card is another all green Valentine card. I know you'd probably expect to see St. Pat's day cards with all the green ribbon, but hey, anything goes with ribbon!!

I love how my next card turned out, of course I couldn't have all that green ribbon without using it as some kind of foliage. LOL

Happy Wednesday! It's Emily here with a delightful little project that I recently made for my daughter.

I made this little drawer set with a plain wooden drawer set that I found on clearance at the craft store. My daughter decided that she wanted to, so I put her name on the banner along the bottom.

I tried to make it as girly as possible since my 4 year old is a girly girl, so any pink laces and trims worked perfectly for this project!

On this project I used the Pearl Pearls and the Satin Pleated Ribbon.

Hello everyone ♥,Cheryl♥ here today with a card I made using ♥Really Reasonable Ribbons♥ beautiful♥ Satin♥ and♥ Polka dots ribbons♥. LOVE these as they are my FAV's but all Really Reasonable Ribbon is my Favorite as that is all I use :)

Last time I did my post I had updated about me going in for another surgery. Well I had my surgery about 12 days ago, and it went super well!!! I'm soo happy and hoping that I can walk soon. It's been well over 4 months since I've last walked. The doctor took out the hardware on the one side and then cut out part of the wound and closed them up together. The pain is a lot less and I was able to leave my house for awhile on Saturday :)

Ok, so on to my card for today :)

I used for the border the double ruffled edge 1.5" white Satin ribbon, I think this ribbon is perfect for borders on cards,scrapbook pages, and photo albums. Then I used the pink Satin with grosgrain edge ribbon on top of that. I used the 1/2 " scor tape to hold it down on the white ribbon. For my double bow, I used the same pink satin ribbon to make the larger bow, and then the white organza with polka dot for the smaller bow on top. I then added a fabric covered brad on top.

Make a Perfect Bow!

Hi everyone, Bonnie here!! I've made a few cards today using one of my favorite ribbons - Satin w/Grosgrain Edge from Really Reasonable Ribbon.

I used 7/8" Satin w/Grosgrain Edge Ribbon and Pearls on each of my cards. I used sketch SSS142 from The Sweet Stop Sketch Blog for my first card and Mailed My Heart Digital Stamp from Whimise Doodles. This is a digi freebie, so head on over to Whimsie Doodles and take a look around and pick this cutie up. As a newbie with Copics, I'm always looking for tips and there are some terrific video tutorials on coloring hair (among other things) at Whimsie Doodles, so be sure to take a look.

So, I spent hours happily coloring away and I ended up with 2 finished images that I thought came out really good (if I do say so myself - lol). Of course I can't ever just be done, so I went ahead and stickled the wings on both images and set them at the edge of my counter on my little stand up clips (you can see what I mean below). I left them over night to dry. The next day I am happily working away and I nudged something and one of them falls over DIRECTLY ON AN INK PAD. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH.... I let out a scream, but apparently screaming is a regular thing coming from my craft room because nobody even comes to see what happened!! It was one of those slow motion things when your mind is screaming Noooooooooo - but you just can't stop it from happening. Of course it was the one that came out best too. Here's what I got:

I decided to make the best of it and use the part that I could. It was a little too big of a problem to fix with a well placed button. :) I would have needed one HUGE button!

Here is a quick tutorial on how I make most of the bows for my cards:

Instead of trying to wrap the ribbon around the card and then tie a perfect bow, I cheat a little. I use my Bow Easy Tool to make a bow and attach it to a strip of ribbon as shown below.

1. For the ribbon stip that will go across your card, cut a piece a bit longer than the card. Take a needle and thread and do a quick running stitch where you want the center of the bow to be. (I suggest using a thread color to match your ribbon. I used a dark thread here to make it easier to see.)

2. Pull the thread to neatly gather the ribbon and wrap the thread around a couple of times. You can pull the gathers tight or leave them slightly loose depending on the look you want. I left it a little loose.

3. Take your bow that you've made using your Bow Easy Tool (or neatly tied by hand) and take a little stitch in the back of the knot.

4. Wrap the thread around the base ribbon strip and then take another stitch through the bow. Repeat until you feel it is secure.

5. See how nice that looks!

6. As a finishing touch you can use glue dots or your favorite adhesive to hold the bow loops and tails in place if they are not cooperating.

6. There you have your perfect bow.

Give this a try and let me know how it works for you.

We have had some unseasonably lovely Spring weather in the midst of Winter, and I am loving it! So much so that it prompted me to veer way from the winter and valentine colors for a day and design something with a bit of a Spring feel.

My image is Flourish 30-09 from Rubbernecker Stamps. The designer paper is by Memory Box, and the punch is a Martha Stewart border punch. I used Spellbinders dies for my frames, and Pearl Pearls from the Really Reasonable Ribbon Store. Did you know Bonnie sells TWELVE different colors of beautiful Kaiser pearls? They are my favorites!

Travel Folder

Hi everyone! I have a simple project to show you today that I made to keep all my travel info together for my recent trip to CHA in California.

To make my little folder I cut a piece of cardstock to 12"h x 9"w

Using my score board, I scored at 4-1/2" (along the 9" side) and then turned my paper and scored a 8-3/4".

I folded up the botton flap to create little pockets and adhered them down with red tacky tap on the outside edge.

I adhered a piece of Poppy Double Faced satin ribbon and then a piece of pattern paper (8-1/4 x 4") on the front and back cover. I folded up my flight itenerary, hotel confirmation and a list of contact info and put them in the pockets.

I tied a little bow and added a sticker from Echo Park - For the Record. This kept everything together in my purse and looked really pretty, too!

Happy Monday everyone! It's Emily here from Create Serendipity sharing a new little project with you today. Well, it's new for me! I usually do mini albums, but I have started to venture off into home decor projects.

A few weeks ago my husband went down to the river and got a truck load full of driftwood. Now I usually look around the house to find things to alter but rarely go out into nature and find things. This wood is so cool! There are so many different shapes and sizes and textures! Of coarse I cleaned it up really nice before putting my pretty paper & ribbons on it, but I decided to make a little wall hanging out of this little one. I've had this cute little gnome stamp set for a while and thought they would go perfect on this project!

The pretty ribbons that I used on this one are Satin/Grosgrain Double Band Yellow, Satin/Grosgrain Double Band Teal, Satin/Grosgrain Double Band Fuchsia, Torrid Orange Grosgrain

Hello everyone, Cheryl here with my post today for Really Reasonable Ribbon, using all beautiful ribbons from the RRR Store on my Scrapbook page.

I was going to share a photo album I had started prior to my surgery on Thursday, which by the way went well from what my hubby said. :) I'm still in pain, but I'm sure that will go away soon.

♥So instead I made flowers in bed and then did my layout. Hubby took the pictures for me, thank you Jerry!!!♥

I love the look of the leaves wrapped around the flowers. It's super easy to do, and gives my paper flowers some leaves:)

So I used 3 ribbons for the border across my page and then I used the green leaves for around my handmade paper flowers.

♥Supplies Used♥

Double Ruffled Edge White 1.5"

Double Ruffled Edge Pink 7/8"

Satin Pink Ribbon tied into knots

Moss Green Leaves

My SWEETHEART flowers are cut out with Cottage Cutz Sweetheart flower cottage cutz, I Love making my own paper flowers. In the centers of all my flowers is some Martha Stewart glitter that I bought about 4 years back.

Magnetic Memo Holder

Hello Really Reasonable Ribbon fans! Jan here to share a Magnetic Memo Holder and a flower tutorial. I used Red Satin Ribbon, Black Crocheted Lace and Random Hearts Red Cossgrain

Here are the flowers.

The white fabric came from a Dollar Store and was a pillow cover. I used Tattered florals die to cut the white flowers.

Red and White flower.

Cut 2 large and one medium flower, I used my Accucut Die Cut machine.

Cut a 12" piece of red satin ribbon and use the gathering stitch on one side.

Set aside.

I used the red ribbon in the Club Assortment (the one with small hearts on one side.) Using the back of the ribbon, cut three 2" pieces.

Apply Quick Dry Glue to the center of the large flower.

cross ribbon and adhere the second large flower.

Using Quick Dry Adhesive, add a pearl to the center of the gathered satin ribbon.

Add a piece of magnet to the back of the flower.

Do You Remember Weaving As A Child?

Well of course you remember doing this simple basket weave with paper when you were little?

I just decided to do a project with ribbons from Really Reasonable Ribbon of course.I finished a mini album and wanted a special cover to make it pretty.

Isn't this so soft and delicate looking?

I used the following ribbons

1" Satin with Grosgrain Edge Pink

3/8" White Satin

After weaving and fitting to the cover I adorned with a yummy double bow I made with my favorite

Loved accenting with those pearls and one small and sparkly flower.

Scrapping with Ribbon

You have probably all figured out by now that I am not much of a card maker.

I will make them...just not often.

It is just not one of my favorite things to do.

I do, however, LOVE to make hair accessories, altered items and most especially...scrapbook layouts.

For this layout, I used a sketch from My Creative Sketches.

Here is the sketch that I used:

Now...I LOVE to scrap with circles, but I was a little bit wary of the large strip behind the circle that is on a slant. I was clueless as to what to do!

UNTIL....

I saw my beautiful moss green leaf vine ribbon!

I immediately thought of a rose trellis, and then I was scrappin'!

I used the Estelle White crochet lace to run around the edge of the circle.

Next time you are stuck on a layout, take a peek into your ribbon stash!

It just might help your imagination wander!

HI there! Joanna Bandelin here today..here's a cute Valentine's day card to share. That love day is inching closer and closer so here's some inspiration to get your mojo going.

I used some aqua and cherry baker's twine. And the cute froggie is from Paper Smooches. Hope you like it! :)

Quick Shabby Flower

Today I want to share a quick way to make a shabby fabric flower. I LOVE all sorts of flowers on cards and this was a fun one to use one of my favorite ribbons: 1 1/2" Black Gingham.

Start with about a foot of your chosen ribbon.

Fold in half and glue the edge with a hot glue gun.

Cut halfway into the fold about every 1/4" or so.

Start rolling your flower, hot gluing as you go.

Voila!

I added a brad for a flower center and also used Black Licorice Baker's Twine.

Paris Inspired

Hi everyone! I hope you are all having a great weekend! I have a pretty card for you today.

I created my card using my Cricut French Manor and Elegant Edges cartridges along with the Echo Park - Be Mine Collection.

I used this pink velvet ribbon and my sewing machine to create this pretty ribbon ruffle.

I love the pink, grey and black together! This is such a beautiful color combo.

Little Miracle

Hey everyone! It's Emily here from Create Serendipity with a fun little weekend project to share with you!

I made this darling little frame out of a wooden frame that I found at the craft store for $1! I just love to keep those frames in my stash because I never know when I will need to make a quick gift for a birthday or even a baby shower!

I used the 1.5 inch Pink Crochet Lace on this frame, I thought it gave a little delicate touch to this baby frame.

♥Hello everyone and Happy Friday to all! It's Cheryl here with a card for today's RRR post. I've used 4 different Really Reasonable Ribbons on my card for today♥

♥♥Really Reasonable Ribbon I used:♥♥

3/8" Satin Double Ruffled Edge Ribbon in Red

1.5 "White Silky Crush Ribbon

1"White Satin Gathered Ruffled

1/4 "Mini Satin Swiss Dots Lemon

Scor-tape 1/2 " , and 1/4" scor-tape

Black pearls

♥♥So for the ribbon border I used the white satin gathered ruffled ribbon, and the red double ruffled edge ribbon and used both sizes of scor-tape to hold them together and on my card. For my tag I used the red double ruffled to tie and the mini satin swiss in lemon.

I made my bow with the Silky Crush in white, LOVE this stuff too!!! It makes such easy bows.

♥My Kitty Bee Sweet is a Cottage Cutz die and was meant to be a Bee, but I wanted her to be a LadyBug instead......hehehehehehee

All the hearts and tag are also Cottage Cutz die's.

♥For my flower center I used a ladybug button. For my Kitty I used RRR Black Pearls for the eyes and for the wings of my ladybug.

♥ The design paper I used is from My Little Shoebox and I'm soo in ♥♥♥ with this design paper!!!

♥I really had a lot of fun with this card today, and hope you enjoyed my post :) ♥

Here's a couple more Jute products that I recently ordered.Jute String White How about this one? I want to make some flowers using this! Jute Ribbon Black. Love it! Now to the altered bottles.

Valentine's Cutie

Hi everyone - Bonnie here. What?? you say....
Yup, I actually made a card to share today. I find I don't get to spend nearly enough time crafting, so I'm going to be scheduling myself for blog posts so I have a reason to get creative.

Now you'll have to bear with me for a while as I find that I've become a bit rusty in my crafting skills. Yes - it's been that long!! I am taking an online course on copics too, so my coloring skills are certainly not on par with that of my amazing DT. They are just so talented that it's a bit intimidating to even come on and show my work, but I'm going to bit the bullet and do it anyway.

He's a close-up of my copic coloring. Not too shabby for a newbie I guess. I also 'stickled' her wings which looks really pretty and shimmery in person. I guess my photography skills need some work too! :)

I have the hardest time with the light source thingy. I just don't see it. I guess that's the hardest part for those of us who are not really that artistic. I'm sure it will get easier with practice.

Today I went with the good old scrunched ribbon technique for my card using 5/8" white satin w/grosgrain edge ribbon and 1/2" Scor-Tape. Scor-Tape works perfectly for this technique because it is so good and sticky. Just run a strip of tape across your card and then stick a little ribbon, scrunch it up a bit and repeat. Trudy made a great video tutorial for us on this techniqe a while ago and you can find it HERE.

The image I used on my card is Shy Cupid from Whimsie Doodles. She was colored, cut out and mounted on foam tape on several layers of Spellbinder die cuts. I just love my new Heart Circles die!! The design papers are from the Paper Studio. My card was made following the sketch on week #190 at Sketch Saturday.
